Personal spaces are reflections of the people they belong to. It is human nature to shape your surroundings to fit you.

Adorned Domestics is a photographic documentation of couples in the American Southeast and how their homes echo their personalities. In this body of work I spend time in these spaces and document them. Through the lens of my camera, I invite the audience to become the observers of these spaces their residents become the observed. No two homes are identical, each with unique stories and collected items. I chose these specific couples because of how close they are to me and how much time I have spent in their spaces. I have always been obsessed with the way they decorate their houses and what they collect. The way somebody decorates their space and the items they collect showcase their personalities and who they are.
